I've always really liked hiking. When I was a teen, I used to hike every day. We called it 'walking' (haha). I lived on a crowded island where almost no one had a car, including my family. Manhattan. Today I live in the West, and have a car. I find lately that I mainly use my car to get to places to hike.... Truth is, most of the time I'd rather be on the trail than anywhere else. Hiking for me has become as necessary as breathing.
This site is an extension of Hiking With Bill, a YouTube channel I recently started that features videos of my favorite hikes. We strive to show some of the best hiking and rock scrambling in the USA. I'm lucky to live in southern Nevada, so close to world class hiking, canyoneering and mountain climbing. So far I've been to a number of Red Rock Canyon trails, Zion National Park, Death Valley, and a few other dynamic natural areas. I have a very long list of future destinations which I hope to bring to you so you can see what's out there.
Join my friends and I for regular installments of hiking, canyoneering and rock scrambling through some of the best country on the planet. Like most hikers, we started with flat and easy, and have steadily progressed to tougher hikes and recently to some pretty challenging class 3 rock scrambling (somebody told me that's what we're doing now - it just means steep and sometimes a little exposed). Along the way we try to capture the natural beauty of these areas and to give you a sense of being along with us. See all our summits and even some our screw ups!

Descend steeply into Red Rock Canyon and hike through the Calico Hills section heading south and then finally east and back up over the south end of Calico.
Travel through the snowy woods and valleys of Lovell Canyon
